Cristiano Ronaldo on Rodri Ballon d'Or
Rodri took home the Ballon d'Or, but Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't having it. He called out the decision openly in front of everybody, insisting Vinicius should have won the Golden Bowl instead. The logic? You win the Champions League and score in the final, so that's what matters most. Other issues don't count when you deserve the award. He also slammed general galas for repeating the same patterns, praising Globe Soccer only because they actually do honest awards.

I really love the way they do their career. Bellingham, Lamine now, this young generation, Vinicius, that they do a fantastic job. And in my opinion, he deserved to win the Golden Bowl. It was unfair in my opinion, I say here in front of everybody. They give to Rodrigo, he deserved to, but I think they should give to Vinicius because because you win the Champions League, they score in a final goal. The other issues for me are not important. When you deserve, you should give who deserves. But you know these galas, they always do the same thing. This is why I love Globe Soccer and continue to do it. These galas because you do it honest awards. So this is very good.
