One of the greatest productivity hacks for ADHD is not a planner, it's another person. If you've ever wondered why it's easier to clean your house, study, or finish a project when someone else is simply in the room, you're not imagining it. It's called body doubling. The other person doesn't even have to help you. They don't have to give you advice and they don't even have to speak, but their presence becomes an anchor. Your nervous system settles and your brain has somewhere to borrow momentum from. And the task that felt impossible suddenly feels possible. I think that's why healthy relationships matter so much, especially for neurodivergence. We often think relationships exist just to make us happy, but they also help regulate us. Sometimes what looks like motivation is actually connection, and sometimes what looks like laziness is actually a nervous system trying to do everything on its own.
