The part of the 2003 Las Vegas key ceremony I keep returning to is Mayor Goodman doing a Moonwalk he'd practiced specifically for Michael Jackson. That came after he handed over the honor at the Art of Music Store in Desert Passage, with hundreds of fans crowded in to watch. The whole thing was staged as Las Vegas passing along the title Entertainment Capital of the World, which is a lot to hang on one key. Jackson turned up in a red embroidered shirt, black pants with double belts, and the silver boots. When he thanked the crowd it was just "I love you more." A man who redefined music, and the city gave him a key. 🐐
