James Comey responds to charge

    by Virali: James Comey

James Comey says nothing has changed for him: the former FBI Director is still innocent, and in a new video he calls the situation almost funny if it weren't such an appalling abuse of the Department of Justice. The charge stems from national defense info allegedly passed to a reporter back in 2016. He says he isn't afraid of these people, still trusts the independent federal judiciary, and is grateful for his family and lawyers. They'll fight the charge in court and whatever follows, he says, and he's telling people to stand straight and keep faith in America over what he expects will be a hard couple of years

Well, they're back again. It would almost be funny if it weren't such an appalling abuse of the Department of Justice, one that we cannot become numb to. Nothing's changed with me. I'm still innocent. I'm still not afraid of these people, and I still believe in the independent federal judiciary. And I'm still lucky to have an amazing family and an incredible group of lawyers, and we'll stand up in court and fight the latest and whatever comes after this. The next couple years are going to be hard for all of us, it's really important that we stand straight and keep the faith in America.
