Pentagon FORTRESS base energy plan

    by Flint: Pete Hegseth

A Pentagon plan called "FORTRESS" would give bases across the continental U.S. their own water, fuel and communications setups, plus battery storage and portable nuclear microreactors. Fox reports the goal: every major homeland installation able to run 90 days or more with nothing drawn from the civilian grid if war comes. Civilian factories getting switched over to wartime defense production is in the mix too. "Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures." Hegseth recently confirmed the need to ensure installations can operate independently. Long overdue, and staying number one depends on it
