Your bank account could soon come with code attached. Canada’s six biggest banks are working on programmable tokenized deposits, and they say it’ll make payments faster. A lot of Canadians remember the trucker convoy, when protesters’ bank accounts got frozen, and they’re not exactly relaxed about money that can be programmed.

Canadians warned about big banks. Canadian finance creator Cosmos warns that money in Canada's biggest bank is no longer safe. This video points to the big six banks. Plan for programmable tokenized deposits. The banks announced the project in September saying it would make payments faster. Replies worry it could make it easier for authorities to freeze people's money. Something Canada knows nothing about. It's never done that before. Yeah, with the trucker convoy thing, when they went and peacefully protested, is my understanding, outside of Parliament in Ottawa. And then the banks shut down their banks, their PayPal.
