50 Cent on Diddy footage and Jimmy Kimmel
by Freddenver: 50 Cent
The part of 50 Cent's story that lands for me is the funeral flowers at club 11. They showed up and he's asking who sent this, then says he just sent Diddy something back, a bump on the head. That's the whole energy of the thing on Jimmy Kimmel, and the rest of it tracks the same way. The footage exists, per 50, because Diddy forgot to pay the guy holding the camera. His read is that a Rico charge makes you forget the cameraman. So he's watching it and can't believe it got done, super excited, and his plan is to blow the wheels off it because the material is going to be great. Netflix, meanwhile, is his friend and blood brother now, in his telling. He says he didn't know Diddy would get a jailbreak iPad in the middle of the jail, that the place is more like a club than a jail, so Diddy saw the whole thing, and 50 is sure he thought it was the best documentary he ever saw in his life. All of it delivered as his own account, which is the only way he tells anything.
