Collector Crypt $24.3M Pokémon packs
by Gigliola: Logan Paul
Pokémon fans say they want nothing to do with NFTs, and then Collector Crypt pulls in $24.3 million in a single day. More than 123,000 packs opened on the platform, none of them held by a human hand, all consumed virtually. The tokenization pitch Logan Paul's platform was chasing, fractional ownership and a slice of the upside, is feasible now, and the sales numbers argue the case. So the stated dislike and the actual buying don't line up. A childhood fan calling the whole thing a perfect intersection of interests is one way to frame it

I've been a Pokemon fan since I was a little kid. And it's just so funny to see what it's become and the markets around it. It's one of the perfect intersections of my interests. And the tokenization thing, that was always the promise of Logan Paul's platform. That was really what they were trying to do, was to allow you to fractionally own a card and get a piece of the upside on its way, obviously. And the tech is now very much out of place where that is totally feasible. Collector Crypt, I believe it's called, which is the platform we've talked about that is selling tokenized packs, basically. they had a record sale day the other day right here so this is insane so our biggest day yet 24.3 million dollars in gross revenue in 24 hours one 123 425 packs opened and counting and keep in mind keith no one held these cards those were all consumed virtually if you're still into nfts you you should definitely follow us because we talk about JPEGs more than we probably should.
