Rogers has the momentum, and the tell is the Democrats he says are walking away from their own party over Abdul El Sayed. At the Trump rally the Michigan Senate candidate told the crowd about a woman who got a knock on her door, somebody asking "Can you help make Detroit a Democrat Socialists of America City?" Her reply, as Rogers quoted it: "I'LL BE DAMNED IF I'M GONNA LET THIS BE A DEMOCRAT SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA CITY!" El Sayed is an official Detroit DSA member, and his ads went there: "Zohran won. Abdul is next." Abolish ICE, defund the police, abolish fossil fuels. That's the package he's selling, and Rogers is betting Michigan voters want no part of it
