AI hackers and the defender asymmetry
Start with the house. You've got to cover every entry point, and in some places that includes the toilet, because snakes come up through it. The robber just needs one that isn't locked. That's the asymmetry, and it's why Microsoft and CrowdStrike have reports saying AI break-ins are already happening at scale, with medical records stolen in some cases. Defenders stay reactive because the systems are broken, so speed only shows up after the damage. The burglar never sleeps, and our data sits behind bureaucracy that moves once something cracks.

The truth of the matter here is that hackers are using AI to break into several different companies. We talked a little bit about Microsoft and CrowdStrike putting out reports saying that this is already happening at scale. You've even got people's medical records being stolen in some instances. And so this brings up the asymmetry of attacking versus defending, which is just this idea that, like, let's say I have a family and I'm trying to protect my home. I have to make sure that every single entryway into my home is protected. I have to wash the windows, the doors. Somebody might come through the toilet. You know, sometimes in some places you got snakes coming up the toilet. And the robber just needs to find one. Right? If a guy's trying to break in, I just need to find one little thing that needs to get open and I'm good. They'll always be reactive because the systems are broken. Do you know what I'm saying? Like they'll only be able to move fast after it's broken. We talk about how the internet is messing with all of us all the time. So if you're into that kind of thing, definitely hit follow.
