Robert Downey Jr. didn't want to be the first man down on Doomsday. On the AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY set, he says actors were "dropping like flies," and he compared the conditions to past Atlanta tarmacs where the Avengers assembled in "94 degrees and 88% humidity" and people were going to start passing out. 😂

This last Marvel film was very much like a series of sprints and really taxing just physically because of the nature of these heavy costumes and stuff. And I really thought, because I was seeing people start to drop like flies. I remember back in the past, I've been on tarmacs in Atlanta where all the Avengers assembled and you just go like, it's like 94 degrees and 88% humidity. people are going to start passing out. And this is a real fit bunch of folks. Anyway, I didn't want to be the first man down on Doomsday, and I feel like that ability to withstand high pressure and exhausting action and or dramatic scenarios and then just quickly be able to cool down. And, you know, you wait a bunch. So I wanted to make sure that I wasn't always feeling like I had to rev up again. Yeah. And the way we changed the program was really helpful.
