Quanterty on the Kimchi coin valuation
by Freddenver: Crypto
The part of Quanterty's take on Kimchi that stuck with me is the timeline detail at the end. Sentiment around the video started going negative, and that tracks with everything he says before it. He didn't see the coin himself, and buying in wasn't a good move in his view. A coin like that is hard to hit, he says, and it was getting PvP with plenty of people shook out before it rose. At $40,000,000 he knew it wasn't something to touch. His read on supply-send type coins: once talk turns to actual circulating supply, that's someone trying to justify a higher FDV. A $40,000,000 market cap is high for a token from a guy he imagines will never discuss, endorse, or interact with it. Kimchi is too PR trained to ever talk about the token, per Quanterty. So the valuation was the whole thing for him, and the reaction on the timeline only backed that up.
