Airbnb bans checkout chores for guests
Guests booked on or after November 20 won't have to strip beds or run a load of laundry at checkout anymore. Airbnb is telling hosts that chore lists like that are off the table, though a few small asks survive: dishes can stay in the sink, towels can get gathered up, trash can be sorted. Break the rule and it shows. Warnings first, a notice sitting right on the listing, and less visibility in search. What a lot of people are saying is that this should've happened a while ago. Paying a cleaning fee and then being handed a chore list on the way out never sat right, and that's the part guests kept coming back to M&M News
