JD Vance on WNBA anthem walkout

    by Flint: JD Vance

The people who served and the families who lost someone aren't the ones writing policy, and that's the whole point. A flag is not a politician, so taking a walk when it comes up isn't a shot at some officeholder. It lands on the troops, the servicemembers, the folks back home, and everyone who paid the full price for this country. VP JD Vance came out and called the WNBA players' anthem walkout disgraceful. His read on the group: consider the public safety work, the wealth and privilege, the jobs they hold. Going after a specific politician's policy by disrespecting the whole country doesn't sit right with him. They've got a lot to be grateful to the United States for, he said, and a little more gratitude would leave them happier and offending fewer people. That's a view millions of Americans already hold 💯
