Tony Cox on Michael Jackson Captain EO stories

by Zimmermann 054: Michael Jackson

The pen prank is what gets me every time. Tony Cox was telling how Michael, in character as Hooter on Captain EO, kept wandering over mid-improv, cracking up and riffing with him, which somehow kept putting Tony on the wrong side of Francis Ford Coppola. Then Michael broke out the old trick pen and the whole room lost it. And the part that feels most like him: he had Tony over to the house just to teach him the Moonwalk. Friday and Bad Santa legend got moonwalk lessons from the man himself, dude.
