Neil Oliver on Europe and Russia

by Jolyon: Ursula von der Leyen

Neil Oliver on GB News makes the case that the push toward a Russia confrontation isn't coming from the public. Brussels and Ursula von der Leyen, he says, keep selling the idea that a direct clash is inevitable, even though ordinary Europeans have no appetite for it. What war actually offers governments, in his telling: a reason to issue more currency, grab wider authority, call emergencies, limit where people can go, and pull citizens into service. His line on it is blunt. "War is an excellent mechanism for laundering money." The read here is that European leaders are steering the continent toward conflict for reasons darker than anything they admit. #UrsulaVonDerLeyen
