Algieri on Ennis vs Fundora

    by Yamanaka: Sebastian Fundora

Fundora keeps marching forward no matter what lands on him, and that's the whole problem for Boots Ennis according to Chris Algieri. The comparison he reaches for is the Terminator, which honestly fits a guy who eats punishment and just keeps advancing. Algieri's worry is that Jaron Ennis has a habit of drifting mentally mid-fight, while Sebastian Fundora never lets up from the first bell to the last. So the picture he paints is Ennis possibly running the early rounds, then one moment where his head isn't fully in it and the whole thing flips. Does Algieri have it right, or does Boots have enough skill to survive Fundora across a full 12 rounds?

Another thing that I think is opposite. Boots has a tendency to lose focus during fights. His fans are going to come at me for this, but listen, the proof is in the pudding, baby. You look at it, and the guy does it. He loses focus during fights, maybe because it's too easy, maybe because whatever. Whatever the case may be, it happens. We've seen it multiple times. Fandora never loses focus. Fandora will be, nose will be sideways. He'll be getting off the canvas. He never stops. He's like the Terminator. He does not lose focus at all, ever, during a fight. That's where I see this fight really where the rubber hits the road. What happens if Boots, like you said, comes out really good in those four-star rounds, which I would expect him to do. I would expect him to actually do some damage in those first couple rounds, if not in the fight entirely. But if he doesn't, and he loses focus, you lose focus with Sebastian Fundora, that could be the end of your night. Because if you get momentum on his side, it's really hard to wrestle it back.
