Jonathan Turley on Ilhan Omar denaturalization
by Flint: Ilhan Omar
Ilhan Omar's citizenship filings are the thing Jonathan Turley keeps coming back to. The George Washington University Law Professor told Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream that the Somali Rep. has a serious denaturalization fight on her hands, and the heart of it sits in the papers she signed while in Congress. His argument goes like this. As a member of Congress she has to continually file papers, and those papers may be repeating something false, something she may know is false. The civil case, he notes, carries no statute of limitations. Then he lays out the government's stance. "The position of the government has been that even innocent errors if they would have prevented you from becoming a citizen can be the basis of denaturalization." Honest mistake doesn't shut the door. The age detail is where it knots up. Being listed as 17 on the paperwork let her pull citizenship through her father rather than going through the process solo, and the source says that could be false. Her father's paperwork may have its own problems. Grand jury subpoenas went out, her home got raided, her phone and passport were taken, and the source says the case is building fast. The conclusion drawn is that Omar's days in the US are numbered

They have really sort of breathed life into this process and they're being very tough on this. Well and Donna there is speculation that she could potentially be denaturalized. We have a long way to go between here and there but maybe the
