Indian diaspora protest against Modi in London

by Jolyon: Narendra Modi

A dispute over how India's Election Commission revised voter lists is what brought the Indian diaspora out in numbers in London, with the crowd massed outside the Indian High Commission. The chant of the day was "chhappan inch ka chhota bandar," translating to "the little 56-inch monkey," aimed squarely at Modi and the 56-inch chest line he used to lean on. Someone in the crowd had a small monkey with them. Facing the demonstrators, behind a police line, a smaller set of Modi supporters had gathered. #NarendraModi
