ADVENTURELAND 2009 production history
by Capucine · old hollywood: Greg Mottola
ADVENTURELAND arrived in 2009 with marketing that framed it as the next big thing following Greg Mottola's SUPERBAD success, yet the screenplay had actually been finished before that film even came out. Drawing from his own summer job at an amusement park, Mottola crafted a narrative that feels less like a polished hit and more like a disordered, melancholic tale of growing up.
