Bend Oregon teacher tackles school shooter
What stopped the Bend Oregon classroom attack from getting worse was a teacher who did not freeze. She threw her phone at the shooter first. Then she brought him down and pinned him, and she wrestled the gun away from him. She came out of it uninjured. A 36-year-old man had already moved in to stop the suspect too. In addition to the 36 year old man who bravely stepped in to stop the suspect, I want to highlight another person whose heroic action we need to recognize. A teacher in the classroom threw her cell phone at the suspect and then tackled him and fought to take the firearm from him. She was not injured in that incident, but she almost certainly helped prevent more bloodshed.
