Spielberg Jurassic Park fear technique
by Capucine · old hollywood: Steven Spielberg
The principle that showing less makes a subject scarier is exactly what Spielberg applied in the 1993 film JURASSIC PARK. Instead of displaying its most frightening creature directly, the movie opens with a containment team losing control. The sequence offers only a brief view of claws before a man gets pulled into the darkness.
