Ilhan Omar home searched by federal agents

    by Flint: Ilhan Omar

A dozen subpoenas out in the Ilhan Omar immigration probe. Federal grand jury in Minnesota is the one issuing them, family members included in the list. Per NBC, agents grabbed her phone while searching the DC residence. Federal officials floated what could come next: conspiracy, false statements on immigration paperwork. They also want a word with her sister. Whistleblowers, documents, witness testimony. Her immigration status, down to the birthdate. Not some sideshow, a genuine criminal case. She is in serious trouble here. The investigation has been going for a while, per the briefing, and the case won't get ahead of it. No warrant executed this morning. On the specifics, that gets handed to Todd Blancher.
