God's Eye View GitHub Trending

by Vojtech: GitHub

GitHub Trending's top spot went to God's Eye View in August, and the creator says most people still haven't stumbled onto it. What it does: a spy-satellite simulator that opens in a browser tab. No install, no payment, source code open to anyone. Inside sits a live 3D model of Earth, and the layers on top are the real draw. 838 satellites tracked in orbit. More than 11,000 aircraft moving live, with military flights broken out on their own. Ships, wildfires, earthquakes and weather all updating as they happen. Roughly 3,900 public city CCTV feeds you can open from inside the tool. Then the infrastructure layer: 712 submarine cables, 4,351 data centers, 704 dams. Repo lives at github.com/bilawalsidhu/gods-eye-view. Wild that this is just a browser thing.
