Claude Code can now open applications to explain their functionality, and the specific tool is called REA. This thing has 199K stars on GitHub. The agent traces code through Ghidra or IDA to analyze binaries, APKs, or Electron apps. It provides explanations of code parts with supporting evidence. Users can even request that it rebuilds software. People rebuilt the game DX-Ball from its binary using this method. The DX-Ball rebuild included 3,205 tests against the original x86 code, all passing. The tool operates via a single MCP and command on the user's machine. The author advises using the tool only on software the user is authorized to analyze. Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds. This technology is dangerous.
