Trump on Ilhan Omar and the HSI raid

    by Flint: Ilhan Omar

The warrant that got signed at Ilhan Omar's place came from a federal judge. Not from President Trump. That's the piece worth holding onto here, because everything else is noise. Trump's take on her is not subtle. He's called her a terrible person, a terrible Congresswoman, and said flat out he doesn't think she loves our country at all. Then he adds that he doesn't take a position. Both things, apparently, at once. What matters more is what his feelings can't do. The raid and the HSI investigation don't move because Trump dislikes her. DOJ and HSI are running this thing on their own track, and that's the point. If Omar is going to be held accountable for anything, the case has to be solid enough to stand without anyone pushing it. Compare that to Democrats who used the DOJ as a weapon against Trump. That's the gap. He lets the agencies work. They didn't.

The President's President of the United States I don't take a position. I think she's a terrible person. I think she's a terrible congresswoman. I don't think she loves our country at all. But I don't take a position.
