@bystevenr investment strategy breakdown

    argues that people his age shouldn't be trading spot markets because building a higher timeframe spot portfolio consistently outperforms for young investors. The real strategy involves allocating capital into distinct buckets based on trading style and timeframe rather than just picking coins. His first bucket is dedicated to intraday trades including meme coins and leveraged positions where the action happens. The second bucket holds swing trades and higher timeframe altcoin plays that require more patience. The third bucket consists of higher timeframe spot holdings which he rarely touches once established. The goal should always be to move profits from lower timeframe strategies into higher timeframe buckets to secure long-term gains. He describes his lower timeframe activity as an FOMO account used to generate significant funds before rotating that cash elsewhere. When asked for examples of spot plays in his more substantial portfolio, he cites Chip, PumpFun, and Hyperliquid as the meat of what he holds. For the core of his higher timeframe bags, he lists Solana, Bitcoin, and Zcash as the assets he lets sit. Active management, by his definition, simply means monitoring charts daily to potentially alter or rotate positions rather than leaving them completely alone.

    I actually don't think so. I think just building a higher timeframe spot portfolio is always going to outperform, especially at somebody as young as me. I do think, though, bucketing your capital is really important. I have my intraday trades where it's like meme coin trades, some leverage trades in one portfolio. And then the next portfolio, I have my swing trades, the higher timeframe altcoin plays. And then I have my high timeframe spot plays that I don't like to touch necessarily. And the goal should be always to deploy capital into the higher timeframe buckets from your lower timeframe. Can you give me examples of the different tokens that would live in those different buckets? Yeah. So the lower timeframe trades are going to be obviously probably like my FOMO account. That's where I'm generating a lot of money in there. And then rotating that into things like some spot plays I took was on an altcoin called Chip, PumpFun, Hyperliquid. Those are sort of my more meat of my portfolio in active managing my swing trades. And then my higher timeframe bags are just things like Solana, Bitcoin, and Zcash. That's what I get. What is active managing? Active managing just meaning like I'm checking the charts every day. I might alter this position, rotate my bag into a new coin, but the higher timeframe plays, I don't really look at technical analysis too much. I just like leave it there.
