Austin Abrams admits immense doubt hit hard while filming WHALEFALL and RESIDENT EVIL, carrying the entire runtime as the sole character. The real question was whether audiences would stay engaged watching a performance stretch that long without relief. He explains the environment felt incredibly confined since there simply wasn't anything else to cut to. Especially in a situation when there isn't really anything else to cut to, it can be so confined.

Yeah, I feel like the word comes to mind is doubt, you know, just immense doubt. I mean, you have that with everything, but I feel like with this especially, just like, are people going to be interested to watch you do this for this long, you know? And especially in a situation where there's not necessarily like anything else to really cut to, you know? Because it's so confined, you know? So, yeah, like doubt.
