Joe Torry on Michael Jackson Remember the Time set

by Zimmermann 054: Michael Jackson

Joe Torry has a story from the Remember the Time set that only a person who was there could tell. The actor, comedian, and former Def Comedy Jam host spent a week in ancient Egypt for Michael Jackson's short film. He has the résumé to back it up too: ER, NYPD Blue, Tales From The Hood, and Poetic Justice with 2Pac and Janet Jackson. What stuck with him was how MJ flipped a switch once the music started, laser focused and all business. Then there was the warning about Bubbles. Stay too close to Michael's character and "He'd Snatched Your Arm Off." That's a set memory you don't get from a documentary.
