Ran Neuner on Traditional vs New Media

    by Freddenver: Ran Neuner

Ran Neuner says traditional media is history and the whole model is completely flawed. He argues new media is much more fun because you actually get to do it together as a community instead of being formed by a script. In traditional setups, if you deviate from the lines, some guy looks at you like what the hell are you doing while there's a countdown and three content checks before you speak. It's garbage due to the lack of autonomy. The host is always behind the desk creating a barrier between them and the audience rather than interacting live. New media has no barrier where you might see the host in public wearing similar clothes and chat with them directly. That old way is just one person relaying info while we build something real. #RanNeuner
