    I saw Ben Affleck on the street yesterday in New York while walking around with a female companion, and I immediately pointed him out as 'Yo, that's Ben Affleck.' Her response was just 'Who's that?' which left me asking what she meant since it seemed impossible not to know. I pulled up a Google search for Ben Affleck to show her the results, but she insisted she had never seen him before. When I tried to jog her memory by mentioning he is homies with Based, she immediately connected the name to Based16Z and the movie Rounders instead of recognizing the actor himself. I'm not even like a celebrity spotter kind of guy, but I feel like people generally know who Ben Affleck is, so her total lack of recognition felt genuinely insane.

What, what, what is that? and so I pull up a picture and I'm like yeah the AI startup founder like YC funded Ben Affleck she's like no never heard of him so I pull up a picture on Google like I just Google Ben Affleck what comes up and she's like no I've never seen him and I'm like what? really? you don't know that guy? and I'm like the guy who's homies with Baste she's like oh 16Z oh word from that Rounders movie. I'm like, bro, fuck my life. But yeah, she didn't know Ben Affleck. I thought she was nuts. I'm not even like a celebrity spotter kind of guy, but Ben Affleck is like, I feel like people know who that is.
