USS Abraham Lincoln returns to San Diego

by Not A Charm: CBS News

Families waited hours in the sun to welcome the crew home as the USS Abraham Lincoln finally docked in San Diego after a 321-day deployment. The vessel spent over 250 consecutive days at sea during a conflict involving Iran with more than 4,500 sailors and Marines aboard. That cruise involved supply shortages and plumbing failures while at least eight suicide attempts occurred within the strike group. Fixing issues on the ship before the next deployment is what matters since the Navy plans to deploy another crew to cover operations near Iran. Source: CBS News / Writer: Daniel
