USAID cuts silent march signs

    by Pavellim: Donald Trump

After USAID funding got cut, what turned up was a silent march: mostly elderly white leftists, everyone in black, closer in mood to a funeral for feelings than any kind of politics. The signs carried lines like 'SIGNS OF FASCISM' and 'ATTACKS ON GBT PEOPLE ATTACKS ON HOME'. American University studied the major protests against Trump and the demographics come out lopsided: around 86% white, middle-aged and elderly women making up most of the crowd, organizers averaging 67 years old. So the same people who keep invoking diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) head out to 'save democracy' inside a group that reads as exclusively white. You can label it 'resistance' if you like, but the contradiction isn't hiding anywhere.
