Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent confirmed automatic enrollment for Trump Accounts is fully complete, meaning every child under 18 has a Trump Account waiting for him or her. This policy stands as a legacy win for Donald Trump after millions of families enrolled before launch. The program frames these accounts as transformative to give kids a financial stake in the future. Some children are receiving seed donations from donors including Michael Dell to start things off. With maximum contributions, accounts could reach between $170K and $300K by the time a child turns 18. President Donald Trump will be out of office before these children fully benefit from the accounts.
