James Corbett on the 9/11 Commission Report
by Gigliola: Conspiracy Theories
A character in a book club novel questioned who was behind 9/11 and James Corbett shut the book and stopped reading it right there. He had already gone through the 9/11 Commission Report from start to finish, and in his view anyone casting doubt on the official account was disrespecting the people who died. His own words on where he stood back then: "I was very closed off to the truth for years."

I bought the 9-11 commission report, read it cover to cover. Okay, interesting. There you go. That's what happened. These 19 men with box cutters took over these planes, etc., etc. So I swallowed the official story more or less. I had my misgivings with certain aspects of it, but I didn't really question it. In fact, I even remember being in a book club where we were reading some book, some novel that had something about like one of the characters was talking about, oh, do you think these Muslims really pulled off 9-11 or something? And I remember actually, like, I'm not even going to finish this book. This is garbage. What a disrespect to the people who died that day, et cetera, et cetera. So I was very closed off to the truth for years.
