James Corbett Bitcoin psyop analysis
James Corbett calls the whole conflation a Bitcoin psyop. Back when he first flagged it seven or eight years ago, the general public treated crypto, Bitcoin, blockchain, and a digital dollar as one big thing. He insists that unification was intentional, not accidental. The strategy allows authorities to eventually replace Bitcoin with a government-issued digital dollar while keeping the freedom narrative intact. People might think those concepts are interchangeable, but they aren't. A blockchain can exist without Bitcoin, and a digital dollar is a central bank product entirely different from cryptocurrency. By 2026 market conditions might shift, but the goal remains getting people to accept a central bank currency by waving off the distinction between real Bitcoin and what they're being handed.

What's the difference between crypto and Bitcoin? Or is that one big thing? Yeah, I call it the Bitcoin psyop because we have obviously, well, I don't know. In 2026, maybe things are different. But certainly when I put that out, you know, seven or eight years ago, it was the case. If you said crypto, Bitcoin, blockchain, digital dollar, those are all the same thing in the general public imagination. It's just, oh, it's all that crypto thing. It's all it's all Bitcoin. But of course, no, as people who have studied the space, no, no, those are very different concepts. And yes, Bitcoin relies on a blockchain, but they're not interchangeable terms. You can have a blockchain without Bitcoin, etc., etc. Digital dollar is something, is that a kind of central bank digital currency? Well, obviously, that's a different thing altogether than cryptocurrency, etc. So I think the PSYOP has been to conflate all those things in the public imagination so that they can all be passed and people will eventually be able to, they'll just be able to wave their hand over it and go, oh, you know that Bitcoin thing you were hearing about that was freedom? This is it. We're just going to call it a digital dollar. Here you go. And now you can all participate in this, guys. If you're stacking sats, follow us because we're talking about Bitcoin all the time here, not just when the price goes up.
