Red Dead Redemption 2 NPC day routine

by Fight Desk: Red Dead Redemption

Wild how a game that came out nearly eight years ago still has NPCs living lives you can actually track. I spent a whole day following one guy in Red Dead Redemption 2 just to see if he'd loop back to the same spot and do the same animation forever. He didn't. These characters have their own routines depending on whether it's day or night, and yeah some are simpler than others, but the fact you can shadow one for hours and watch him go about his business is wild for a game that old. So now think about what Rockstar Games has been cooking for GTA 6. We've already gotten multiple trailers, screenshots and an extended look, and the sheer amount of NPCs with unique appearances is already on display. Some of them have been clocked at different points in the day too. What that tells me is Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to feel more alive than anything that's dropped recently, and chances are it stays the most realistic game out until Rockstar Games rolls out their next open-world title. That's the bar now.
