Vivian Savellu custody tragedy Houston
The father who fulfilled every legal requirement to get his daughter back is now burying her. Vivian Savellu was four years old when her mother shot her in Houston on September 29, right after a court transferred primary custody to Aaron. Court documents had previously mandated that the mother could only be with the child under constant supervision, yet she was left alone with Vivian at home following the hearing. The procedure for transferring the child remained unclear, and a monitor from the court-appointed organization was absent that day. Shortly before six in the evening, gunshots were heard by the stepfather and nanny downstairs. They found Vivian in the room; the stepfather attempted resuscitation but the girl could not be saved. Her mother shot herself and later died in the hospital. The court had ruled the woman must not be left alone with her daughter, but that order was ignored. Now Aaron is burying his four-year-old daughter after waiting for the process to conclude. This is reported by Sarah Al-Shaikh on ABC 13.
