This is courtesy of our colleagues at Univision. We were actually live. We brought this news to you live as it happened. There you see the 19-year-old being taken away in handcuffs, put in the back of a police car to go to the station, to go under further questioning from LAPD detectives with LAPD's abused child unit. They are investigating the discovery of a dead baby in a garbage dumpster near the teenager's apartment. This is the four-month-old baby that is officially missing. And that sources tell me they now believe is the baby that was found dead in the dumpster. And detectives are continuing to question the mother. They want to know what she knows because her parents, the grandparents that we brought to you live on television, told us that when they asked her about the baby, she repeatedly lied to them. First, she said the baby was sleeping. And then when she couldn't produce the baby for the grandparents to see, she told them she had handed the baby over to its father. A father, the grandparents tell us, has had nothing to do with the child since she was born in late May. It's just like a nightmare. It's unbelievable. I didn't formulate words to explain how I feel right now. God bless you. I have no love for her. Why? Because you had no love for that innocent baby. I don't feel nothing for her. I love her and I probably would, I still want to know why. What was the problem? Why did you do that? You had no reason to do that. I was taking care of your child for you. Didn't even go in the system. I was going to do it. I'm the grandma.
