Blurr discusses working with Jez

    Blurr admits he's always worked entirely alone, finding it easier than dealing with colleagues or the hassle of offloading tasks. But Jez changed that dynamic completely. They met in New York back in the summer of 2021 through NFTs and hit it off instantly. Five years later, Blurr says solving logic problems with Jez is faster than doing it solo. The process involves showing him a weird problem, having him solve it, and getting an explanation back before Blurr could have figured it out himself. He calls this experience completely unique and eye-opening because Jez operates on a slightly different level. Despite the micromanaging struggles Blurr has had historically, they've worked on various projects together and he considers Jez one of his best friends. #Music

    How has it been working with Jez? It's great. I fucking love Jez. We met in the summer of 2021, I want to say, here in New York. And he is like- 2021, wow. Yeah, it's a long time ago. It's like early days. Five years, yeah. Well, yeah, early days for you guys, I guess. But we hit it off very quickly. Also, randomly met through NFTs, of all things. But he- And I've always worked alone, like entirely. Like, I've never really had colleagues or anything like that at all. I've just- I found it easier. As soon as I have somebody else, I have to like offload stuff too. I spend more time thinking about that offloading than I do like any benefit I get from doing that. I'm terrible micromanaging. It's just not, yeah, it's historically like not worked well for me. Jez is basically the only person I've ever met where if I'm facing some kind of like weird little logic problem I'm struggling to solve, I know it will be faster for me to like show it to Jez, explain it to him, have him like understand it, have him solve it, then have him explain it back to me before I would have got there on my own. And that's like completely unique to me. It's just like, it's, and it's, I never really met anyone like that before in my life. And it was sort of eye opening to kind of like, you know, okay, this guy is operating on a slightly different level to that which I am. And yeah, I mean, we've got up to some stuff over the years. He's one of my best friends for sure.
