JG Nuke on Anthropic Q3 numbers

The clock is ticking on when companies decide to drop their latest numbers, especially if they wait past October. Holding off means the data snapshot will land right at the peak of that ugly token maxing trend instead of showing the reality of what happened next. JG Nuke is calling out Anthropic specifically, saying they need to get this thing out the door before they show the decline post token maxing because we had real token maxing hit its peak around April. That’s when it topped out and you saw the stories about Meta and their leaderboard where they were bragging about who is consuming the most tokens. It got so bad that AI was doing worthless tasks just to make themselves look better until it came to an end. We had the story about Uber in April where they had blown their entire annual AI budget in the first four months of the year because of token maxxing. That’s really when everybody stopped and said wait a minute we’re spending all this money on this stuff because the CEO read an article. Then in July token costs just plummeted so now you’ve got a price war going on where you are competing with Chinese models and they are also competing with Open Source models. The longer they wait the more this looks worse if they get it out by October and the snapshot will be at the peak.
