Nigeria puts 0.3% of its GDP toward education, and that number sits at the very bottom of a 39-country ranking. Indonesia is next at 1.3%, then Thailand at 2.5%, Iran at 2.8%, and Vietnam at 2.9%. Japan comes in at 3.3%, Malaysia at 3.5%, and China at 3.9%. Kenya and the Philippines each land at 4.0%, while India, Italy and Mexico are tied at 4.1%. Russia spends 4.2%, Poland 4.3%, Peru 4.4%, Saudi Arabia 4.5%, and Spain 4.6%. Canada and Uruguay both sit at 4.8%, with Kazakhstan and Chile at 4.9% and Argentina at 5.0%. Australia allocates 5.1%, Germany and New Zealand 5.2%, France and Colombia 5.3%, and the United States and South Korea 5.4%. Brazil is at 5.6%, the UK at 5.9%, South Africa and Morocco at 6.0%, Finland at 6.4%, Bolivia at 7.5%, Cuba at 8.4%, Algeria at 9.0%, and Namibia tops the whole thing at 9.1%.
