Cisco built the pipes that made the internet run, and the dot-com era still didn't hand them the biggest payday, per Henrik Zeberg (HenrikZeberg). The money landed with the companies sitting on top of the internet, not the ones supplying it. He sees AI following that same script, and he's not shy about where that leaves Nvidia. Chips and hardware get commoditized, thousands of businesses end up able to produce the same AI capability, and his verdict lands flat: "That's a commodity in five years." Meanwhile the ones actually using AI to build their own operations are the ones he'd watch. It's the same split as before, just a different decade

We have a completely overreaction to this technology, which is fantastic, but it's not going to come out as fast. And by the way, Cisco back then, the ones that developed the or kind of made the internet available, you could say, right? And all of these, the similar players, were not the ones that were benefiting now so much as they were maybe today because of what we have. But in the last 20 years, it was the businesses that were building businesses up on the internet, using the internet, right? So it's not the supplier of that. I think you're going to see the same with AI. So NVIDIA coming out, we can build AI and we can do this. We deliver the chips and all that great stuff, guys. But that's a commodity in five years. That's a commodity. You'll have thousands of businesses doing that. But those who can use the AI to actually build some business now, see, that's the real value. And that's where we take off.
