Jensen Huang CNN interview
Wait, the whole $5.3 trillion valuation of Nvidia isn't just about selling chips to companies that need them. It's a closed loop where Nvidia uses its own cash to fund OpenAI, Anthropic, and Elon's xAI, then those same customers spend that money buying Nvidia hardware so the company can book it as revenue. That cycle keeps the stock price soaring because the market treats the money leaving one pocket and returning in another as genuine new demand. The only thing that can break this machine is fear. Competitors or regulators can't stop it, but if confidence wavers and people start thinking AI might be dangerous or slowing down, the loop reverses instantly. The collateral shrinks, investments sour, and the customers burning billions can't afford another chip. That's why Jensen Huang's dismissal of risks on CNN AC360° ONE-ON-ONE matters so much. When he calls concerns hearsay and says anyone worried should just shut it down, he isn't making a scientific assessment. He's actively defending the belief system that keeps the machine running. His job isn't just about building better tech; it's about protecting investor confidence because that confidence is worth more than any chip in any data center. If the market stops believing, the whole scheme collapses.

Whatever that hearsay is, it's not grounded on science. It's not grounded on facts. It doesn't make any sense. You said there's zero chance of that. I said there's zero chance that is end of humanity by 2030. 2030 is around the corner. Do you think there's a risk to humanity in the next 10 years? If we don't build society safely, if we don't build technology safely, of course there's going to be risk. But there's a lot of people working on really, really genuinely good. Let's build this safely. Let's figure out what it is, what are the technologies that we need, whether it's containment systems, whether it's continuous monitoring systems, whether it's semantic detection systems of what the intentions of the chain of thought, what the AI is working through, so that you're watching from it. In July, though, you were quoted talking about sandboxes. You were saying these sandboxes are secure. Their sandboxes keep privacy and security and access control. Obviously in the Hugging Face attack, which was also an attack on OpenAI, these agents banded together, they broke out of their sandbox. It wasn't secure, they gained access to the internet. Well, sandboxes can be built to be secure. We have to make sure that- But do we know how with this particular kind of technology? Because- No, no, no. I don't know how they built theirs, but sandboxes are able to be built securely.
