Skyler Gisondo went into PRIMETIME with a method that worked for him: once a take felt found, he'd more or less repeat it. Then Robert Pattinson showed up and did something different every single time, like being shot out of a cannon take after take. Gisondo says that ripped him out of his own habit in the best way, and with Lance coming from the doc world alongside cinematographer David Boland, the whole thing felt alive in a genuinely exciting way. "Rob, take after take, is like shot out of a cannon with something so new and unexpected… I was somebody who, once I more or less did something similar every take, felt like I had found it. Yeah, things felt, I think, so alive all the time. Lance coming from the doc world and him and David Boland, his cinematographer, really thriving, like operating in that place. And then that coupled with, you know, Rob being somebody who take after take is like shot out of a cannon with something so new and unexpected. And for me, I think coming into this experience, like I was somebody who once I more or less did something similar every take, to what I'd done once I felt like I had found it or something and then this, there was no choice, but I was just like ripped out of that in the best way. And yeah, when the camera keeps rolling and you really don't know where things are going and you oftentimes don't even really know where the camera is, if it's just CCTV cameras or whatever, things feel very alive in a really exciting way.
