Sunny Hostin went on The View and called it despicable, that being the defense attorney's move to look into a holdout juror. The juror in question sat on a case with a butcher and a murder. So the part worth chewing on is why the change of heart landed so suddenly.

So the insanity defense is a real thing. And I think this lawyer who wants the juror investigated, that's going to have a chilling effect on jury. Jury duty is a duty. It is one of the most important things I think I've ever done in my life. It was extremely difficult. But to investigate a juror for doing his or her duty is despicable.
