Hannah Gann spent years as an anti-Israeli activist, and the label she picked up along the way was "Philadelphia's Leading Antisemite." She's 34 and teaches in public schools. The part NYP dug into is where she came from: Falls Church, Virginia. That's a DC suburb, and by median income it ranks second among all American suburbs. She reportedly lived in a $1.8 million house there. Somewhere in all of that, she told fellow activists she had Palestinian and Tunisian heritage. That wasn't true. She changed her race to identify as Black Palestinian and kept it going for years, until the outing came. She's White. She's Jewish. She's Israeli, with living relatives in the West Bank. The comparison being made is to Rachel Dolzal, and it isn't a flattering one.
