Sen. Katie Britt hearing on women's sports

Why did every Democrat on the committee skip a hearing on girls' and women's sports? That's the question Sen. Katie Britt put on the record after Senate Republicans convened one and the other side of the aisle stayed home. "It can't go unspoken that NOT ONE MEMBER on the other side of the aisle has had the RESPECT for WOMEN to come in here and ask questions. To figure out how we get this right. How we stand up for fairness, FOR SAFETY, for an opportunity for young women across the country." Her verdict on the empty chairs: "IT'S ABSURD!" The read from here is that Democrats are frightened of the leftists inside their own coalition, the ones who've turned the simple act of defining "woman" into a controversy. It never should have been one. On this, the country sits at 90/10 or wider. So: no men competing in women's sports. Two genders, full stop. Common sense has to win out, and the members who didn't bother to show up for Mrs. Britt's hearing ought to be ashamed. #KatieBritt
