Political systems need a total restructuring of what defines a politician, their incentives, and accountability because the current setup literally pays them to lie. Telling the truth prevents election since voters won't support candidates who openly state how complex real solutions are. The incentive structure rewards dishonesty and punishes honesty before any vote happens. Trump claimed he'd drain the swamp but is accused of doing similar rhetoric without action while voters complain about outcomes four years later. You wouldn't get elected if you admitted the difficulty of change so politicians are forced into deception by the system itself. #DonaldTrump

needs to be restructured of like what a politician is and then the incentive structures and accountability structures right like they're if you think like there's no way the world wouldn't be fucked up man like they're literally paid to lie because if they tell the truth they don't get in so the incentive structures are are like literally there for them to lie to us and then us cry about it four years later they have to lie because you wouldn't vote them in if the guy actually said i'm gonna come in i'm gonna clean this up like obviously trump pulled that bullshit and said that he was going to do right drain the swamp and all that stuff. But like on the minor level, if you said like, oh, we're going to do this stuff, it'd be hard pressed to get in in the first place.
