Bob Moriarty on generals ending war

    by Gigliola: Bob Moriarty

The end of a war could come down to a single room, according to Bob Moriarty. His scenario: a hundred generals and admirals walk into an auditorium, announce they resign, and the fighting stops inside of five minutes. Moriarty, who flew fighters for the Marine Corps before starting 321gold, figures the authority to shut conflicts down already belongs to military leadership. What keeps them from using it, in his read, is the paycheck. They bank on what the military industrial complex hands them, so the wars keep going.

Now, I'm really disappointed in the American military. And bear in mind, I volunteered for the Marine Corps. I loved being in the Marine Corps. I loved being a Marine. I thought I was defending the country, and unfortunately I wasn't. But I'm really disappointed in the military leadership of the United States today. If a hundred generals and admirals got in an auditorium and said, we resign. How long would the war last? Five minutes. Okay. These guys have the power to do it. And unfortunately, they're sitting there, they're counting on getting their benefits from the military-industrial complex. So nobody's speaking up. Nobody's resigned. Joe Kett's the only guy who's resigned. If you enjoyed this, be sure to hit that like button and follow to stay up to date with what's going on in the world and everything else memes and markets.
